The official start to the holiday season in Danville is the annual Gallery Hop!! On Thursday, November 14th, stroll through our lovely downtown and meet dozens of artists, whose work will be on display (and for sale!) at a variety of businesses throughout the historic district. There will also be performances by a variety of community music groups.
Artist assignments are still being finalized, but Plaid Elephant Books will definitely be hosting musician Conrad Shiba at the shop. Conrad is a retired Centre College professor (37 years in the Chemistry department!) and plays traditional and contemporary folk music on banjo, guitar, hammered dulcimer, mountain dulcimer, ukulele, and banjo uke.
The Downtown Entertainment District will be active, meaning you can grab a drink from a local bar or restaurant and “shop and sip” your way into the holidays!
