The Battle of Perryville was Kentucky’s largest and bloodiest battle. In the span of five hours, nearly 8,000 casualties occurred, leaving a small farming community shaken to its core. This weekend, October 18-20, 2024, the annual symposium on the field will be held in Perryville in conjunction with our partners from The Western Theater in the Civil War. Discussing various topics from the early actions of October 6-7th, the struggles of Starkweather, Liddell, Donelson, and the street fighting that occurred on the 9th.
