After working more than 20 years in the newspaper industry in Alabama, Kendall returned to his home state of Kentucky in 2017 to pursue a new career and tourism was the perfect fit. He was hired as the first tourism director in Lawrenceburg, where he worked until moving on in late 2021 to become the executive director of the Danville-Boyle County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
As he did as a journalist, Kendall enjoys the opportunity to share the stories of the Danville and Boyle County communities with potential visitors to let them know about the special experiences they can have here.
Kendall and his wife Shannon (who is a freelance writer) enjoy exploring new towns and restaurants throughout Kentucky, which has become their new favorite pastime.
Kendall is a graduate of Western Kentucky University.
