This man-made 3,600-acre lake, created in 1925, is the deepest in Kentucky. It is abundantly stocked for fishing enthusiasts, with bluegill, catfish, crappie, hybrid striped bass, largemouth bass, spotted bass, and white bass, and it’s the perfect playground for many outdoor and recreational sports.
There are boat launches in Danville/Boyle County at the Coffey’s Cove Marina and the Gwinn Island Marina.
