Danville and Boyle County know how to party. Halloween party, that is. Whether you want to dress up like a ghost, hunt for a real one, or any other of a number of spooky activities for kids through adults, you’re likely to find them happening here, including;
Ghostly Encounters
Historic Merchants Row Ghost Walk
Take a stroll in historic downtown Perryville, the home to one of the bloodiest Civil War battles in Kentucky. Learn about local history and haunts on this walking tour and if you’re lucky you may even see one of Perryville’s many ghosts. Currently, there is a ghost tour scheduled for October 7th and October 28th. For more information visit the Main Street Perryville Facebook page.
Boyle County Public Library Investigation
Local paranormal investigation team, 859 Paranormal, visits the Boyle County Public Library on October 28th to investigate paranormal activity in this after-dark special.
Doors open to the public at 9 p.m. Prior to the investigation, patrons will tour the library while the paranormal team discusses their process, their history, and their equipment, maybe even some prior paranormal experiences. Once the event ends at 11 p.m., the crew will spend the night in the library, searching for paranormal activity, then share their findings at the library on November 2nd at 6 p.m.
Pumpkins in the Park
Come to Constitution Square in the days leading up to All Hallows Eve and enjoy a painted pumpkin display at Governor’s Circle. Between 5 p.m. on Oct. 25 and the evening of Oct. 31, visit the Pumpkins in the Park display, made up of hand-painted pumpkin creations made by local residents. Haunted Experiences
Hustonville Haunted House – Hustonville Haunted House, located at 4045 Hustonville Road in Junction City, is a Halloween season must. It features three attractions – The Final Exorcism/Circus of Hell 3D, Creepers Corn Maze of Death, and Junction City Chainsaw Massacre. Tickets can be purchased online at www.hustonvillehh.com or at the ticket booth.
Screams and Suds Haunted Car Wash – Support this haunted car wash that gives funds collected to charity. Check out Suds & Screams at Car Wash Express at 306 Skywatch Drive each Saturday in October from 7–10 p.m. For more information about Suds and Screams visit the Car Wash Express Facebook page.
Adult Fun
Halloween isn’t just for the kids. Here are several adult Halloween events happening in Danville:
Join Gypsy Run Brewery for their Nightmare on 4th Street Halloween party on Friday, October 27th, at 6 p.m. featuring live music, costume contest, tarot card readings, and more.
Heroes’ Halloween Bash, an 18+ Halloween party to raise awareness and funds for First Responders seeking mental health treatment or support, will be held from 6-11 p.m. at The Showroom, where they’ll have food and drinks, music, dancing, a silent auction and a cash bar.
Boos & Brews will be happening at Bricks & Brews on Friday and Saturday, October 27 and 28th. Participate in their costume contest, enter to win door prizes, enjoy specialty cocktails, and more.
Morley’s Backyard is hosting its Halloween party on Saturday, October 28th, from 7-11 p.m. Join them for a night of spooky fun.
Boogie Knights is hosting The Rocky Horror Picture Show watch party and costume contest on Saturday, October 28th, at 9:30 p.m. Get into character and spend a spooky night with Boogie Knights.
