New wayfinding signs help guide the way in Perryville

Visitors coming to Boyle County now have some additional signage to help them find key locations in Perryville.
Using American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds granted by the Kentucky Department of Tourism, the Danville-Boyle County Tourism Office was able to provide seven distinct wayfinding signs that were installed on Friday, Oct. 25.
“These signs were designed to stand out among the various road signs drivers pass by so visitors looking for the Perryville Battlefield or Merchants Row will have an easier time locating their destination,” said Kendall Clinton, executive director of the tourism office. “And hopefully they also catch the attention of visitors coming through town who may not have realized what there is to see and do in Perryville and prompt them to stop for a while to explore.”
If you think the signs seem familiar, that’s because they were based on Danville’s relatively new wayfinding signs, but with different colors, creating a sense of familiarity for those visiting from outside the area.
“We are thankful for the partnership and investment from the Danville-Boyle CVB and the Danville-Boyle County Development Corporation,” said Aly Huff, executive director of Main Street Perryville. “The Wayfinding Signage project will create an easy and effective way for tourists to navigate our historic downtown and the Perryville Battlefield.”
