Perryville’s Candy Cane Christmas brings the holiday spirt to town

Historic Perryville will transform into a winter wonderland for their Candy Cane Lane Christmas event on Saturday, November 25th.  You can come to town and enjoy a day filled with nostalgic charm and festive activities including wreath-making, traditional Christmas tea, kids’ crafts, free ice skating, and the Candy Cane Lane Christmas Parade.

Plans for 2023 include:

Wreath Laying Ceremony at Hillcrest Cemetery

The day begins at 10 a.m. with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Hillcrest Cemetery. Join attendees in honoring the past and paying tribute to those who have been lost.

Meet the Grinch

Head to The Blended Tribe to get a head start on your Christmas shopping. While you are there engage in a little mischief by meeting the Grinch. The iconic character will be visiting between 11-2 p.m.

Wreath Making

For those looking for a more hands-on experience, visit the Flower Basket for one of their wreath-making sessions at 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. Create a one-of-a-kind Christmas keepsake to enjoy for years to come.

Christmas Tea

Experience the warmth and elegance of a Christmas Tea at the Bottom House B&B. Sip on delightful blends, savor seasonal treats, and enjoy the ambiance of the historic setting, making it a perfect stop during your festive day. Tea will be offered at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

 Kids Christmas Crafts

Kids can engage in making Christmas crafts at Perryville Baptist Church Welcome Center between 2-6 p.m.

 Ice Skating

Glide into the spirit of the season with free ice skating at Farmer’s National Bank parking lot from 2:30-6:30 p.m. Whether you’re a seasoned skater or a novice, this nostalgic activity promises fun for all ages.

 Candy Cane Lane Christmas Parade

The evening closes with the Candy Cane Christmas Parade at 6:30 p.m. Revel in the sights and sounds of the season as the parade makes its way through historic downtown Perryville encapsulating the magic and charm of Christmas.
