“Treasures on the Trails” Event Series in Danville

As summer winds down, Danville’s picturesque trails will come alive with a unique fusion of nature and art in the “Treasures on the Trails” event series. Over the course of six weeks, from August 12th to September 16th, visitors and residents alike are invited to explore different sections of the town’s extensive trail system, all while hunting for exciting, art-themed prizes.

The will to celebrate the rich artistic culture of Danville, encompassing performing arts, culinary arts, literary arts, and more. Each week, a new trail section will be highlighted, offering participants a fresh experience and a new opportunity to discover the treasures hidden along the way, including

August 12th – Millennium Park (1000 Cunningham Way)

The first week of Treasures on the Trails is all about performing arts! Be on the lookout for performance tickets to Pioneer Playhouse, Norton Center for the Arts, Boyle County Performing Arts Center, and more!

August 19th – Hugues Lane Connector Trail (209 Corporate Road)

This week is brought to you by FERN Curated Gifts located at the Art Center of the Bluegrass and offering a selection of fine arts, one-of-a-kind pieces, and gifts!

August 26th – Henson Trail (897 East Main Street)

Words can paint a picture, and this week will be all about the literary arts. Discover prizes from Plaid Elephant Books and the Boyle County Library. You can check out the Bookmobile at the trailhead from 5-6 p.m.

September 2 – Connector Road Trail (2170 Shakertown Rd. or 1805 Goggin Lane)

This week’s prizes on the trail will inspire you to create art of your own. Find gift certificates to local art classes, win art kits, and even studio time at the Art Center of the Bluegrass. You can also find a mosaic art kit provided by Plaid Elephant Books. You can also win admission tickets to the Great American Dollhouse Museum, where you can get inspired to create miniatures of your own, while you’re there you can shop a huge selection of mini things for your next project.

September 9th – Clarks Run Trail (104 McLure Dr. or 567 South 2nd St.)

This week find art pieces from Maple Tree Gallery, one of Danville’s best local shops and art sellers located on Main Street in Danville. Win DanvilleKY gift card, art prizes from Plaid Elephants Books, Constitution Square Gift Shop & Visitors Center, and more.

September 16th – Jackson Park (826 Crosshill Dr.)

The last week of Treasures on the Trails is all about the culinary arts! Win gift cards to some of Danville’s best dining experiences!
