CKWR Spring Wildflower Walks 2025
Free guided wildflower walks at the Central Kentucky Wildlife Refuge will be held this spring on the following dates:
Saturday – 3/15 @ 3 pm* CANCELLED -rescheduled for Saturday March 22nd at 3 p.m.
Saturday – 4/12 @ 3 pm
Come experience the beauty of the region and learn more about its native flora on an easy walk in the woods. The walk will last between 1-2 hours depending on the number of blooms.
*NOTE: Only a few wildflowers will likely be out during the first walk (3/15), but they are encouraging reminders that warmer days are ahead!
Rain Dates will be the following Sundays (3/16 & 4/13) at the same time (3 pm).

TO HELP YOU PREPARE FOR YOUR VISIT:
A special parking area will be open near the Wildflower Trail starting at 2:30 pm. Please drive slowly and look for a sign that says, “CKWR EVENT PARKING.” The terrain is a bit uneven, so someone will direct you to a good parking spot.
There are no restrooms near the Wildflower Trail, so it’s recommended that you stop by the regular parking lot and use the porta potty there before the walk, if necessary.
