Three days of free live music returns to Danville May 29-31 as the annual Great American Brass Band Festival presents another showcase of brass and its place in music, from jazz, pop and classical to New Orleans, big band and hip hop.
No tickets. No admission. No registration. Just come to Danville with a lawn chair or blanket to lay on and soak up the sounds downtown on May 29 during the Downtown Downbeat concert, on the grand lawn at Centre College on May 30 for the Bayou and Brass concert, and on May 31 for the full day of bands performing on the lawn at Centre.
Throw in a music-filled parade on Main Street, great food and craft vendors, and a picnic on the lawn and you’ve got a winning combination for a memorable weekend in the heart of Kentucky.
Come all three days and you’ll experience the musical stylings of bands like Huntertones, Rebirth Brass Band, No BS! Brass, Airmen of Note, Bourbon & Brass Company, Lowdown Brass Band and more. A total of 18 bands will perform throughout the festival.
