If you are coming to the FREE Montgomery Gentry concert featuring Eddie Montgomery on Friday, July 3, there are a few things you may want to note before heading to Millennium Park in Danville, including:
Gate time – Music gets going at 5:30 p.m. with the band Ridgeline, followed by Montgomery Gentry at 7 p.m., but you can enter the gates and grab your spot as early as 3:30 p.m.
Parking – Only vehicles with handicapped parking tags will be allowed into the park, with access from Cunningham Way. All other vehicles will be able to park in designated spaces at Boyle County Middle School (accessible from Cunningham Way), Boyle County High School (accessible from Perryville Road), as well as lots adjacent to the former Boyle County Fairgrounds (accessible from the North Danville Bypass). There will be shuttle buses transporting concertgoers from the parking lots to the three points of entry into the concert area at the park.

What you can (and can’t) bring with you – Folding chairs and blankets, small personal bags, light snacks, and sealed non-alcoholic drinks and empty refillable bottles are all OK to bring with you. Items not allowed include alcohol/illegal drugs, weapons of any kind, coolers, glass containers, tents/umbrellas/shade canopies, fireworks, drones, laser pointers, pets (except registered service animals), scooters or motorized devices (except accessibility vehicles), and any unauthorized vendors or solicitation.
Food and drinks – There will be 15 vendors at the concert, selling a variety of food and drinks, including beer vendors.
Bathrooms – Portable toilets – including handicapped toilets – will be positioned around the concert grounds.
Trash/litter – There will be an ample amount of trash cans and volunteers to empty those through the afternoon and evening. Concertgoers are asked to please use trash cans and don’t litter so the park will be as clean as possible for Fourth of July activities, which get underway at the park the morning after the concert
.Traffic after the concert – As you exit after the concert, follow the directions of parking attendants and law enforcement to keep the flow of cars moving smoothly. You may not be able to turn out of the parking lots the direction you’d like to go, so be prepared to take an alternate route if you want to go left, but are instructed to turn right.
