Art Center of the Bluegrass will host a Fall Gala, “Art Through the Ages”, on Friday, Nov. 20, with a live art auction of collectibles and a silent auction featuring work from many local and regional artists.
Thanks to generous donations from artists and collectors, the auction will include historical prints by Goya, Lichtenstein, and William Morris’s Kelmscott Press; glass art by Brooke White; and work by local artists David Farmer and John Andrew Dixon.
The silent auction will include art, jewelry, ceramics, and more. All proceeds will sustain the Art Center’s operating fund.
The event will be held in the Art Center’s recently renovated third-floor ballroom, at 409 W. Main Street in Danville. Built in the early 1900s as a meeting hall for the Odd Fellows, this restored space is now open. The Art Center will soon launch a fundraising campaign for an elevator to improve access.
The evening will include music, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and live and silent auctions. Tickets are available at artcenterky.org, by calling 859-236-4054, or by visiting Art Center of the Bluegrass.
