Attention book-lovers, grab your besties and join the Art Center of the Bluegrass and Plaid Elephant Books for an evening of bookish delights. In addition to all the usual fun of the Silent Reading Party (from 7pm to 9pm), you and your crew can get crafty from 6pm to 7pm as we create book-inspired polymer earrings. The craft party is an extra $10 fee, easily added to your registration.
We will also be hosting a Blind Date Book Swap at the Silent Reading Party. Bring a wrapped book to share – or use our supplies to wrap on-site before the event. Your packaging should include a brief description of the content but NOT the title or author!
New to the Silent Reading Party? Here’s how it works:
Join us for a cozy, intimate evening of silent reading at Murrini Café on the second Friday of each month from 7pm to 9pm. Slip into your most comfortable vibe, bring your favorite book, and let the quiet energy of the evening wrap around you.
With a warm, soothing drink included in your ticket, relax into the ambiance of the café, where you can indulge in peaceful solitude with fellow book lovers. You can also order nibbles and snacks from their menu, or an alcoholic beverage if you’re 21+. The ticket price also includes a $10 gift card to Plaid Elephant Books – which you’ll receive at the event for future use.
