The Perryville Battlefield will hold Commemoration events (not a reenactment) on Saturday, Oct. 3, including the following schedule:
9 a.m. – museum opens
10 a.m.-12 p.m. – School of the Soldier (front of the park)
10 a.m. –Guided tour (Bob Russell) (bring water, bug spray, sun block, comfortable shoes, plan on at least an hour)
11 a.m. – Guided tour (Dale Davis) (bring water, bug spray, sun block, comfortable shoes, plan on at least an hour)
12 p.m. – Memorial Wreath Laying at Union and Confederate Monuments
1-3 p.m. – School of the Soldier
1 p.m. – Guided Tour (Dale Davis) (bring water, bug spray, sun block, comfortable shoes, plan on at least an hour)
3 p.m. – Dedication of the Blue & Gray Education Society Interpretive Signs
5 p.m. – Living History Area & Museum Close
7:30 p.m. – Luminary Event Memorial for 1,422 soldiers killed Oct. 8, 1862 (weather permitting)
7:30 p.m. – Memorial Address by Bryan Bush (podium by Union Monument)
